When the dream won’t let you go . . .
March 28, 2019
Every now and again, when disappointment and frustration have sufficiently worn us down, we want to throw our hands in the air and give up on a dream. Sometimes we do, never look back, and are freed from the striving and pain of fruitless labor. But, other times it seems the dream has us and it won’t let go. We see it everywhere we look, and everything we see reminds us of it. Its hold may be painful and confusing, but the ache serves an important purpose: it ensures that we never forget who we really are. When the dream won’t let you go, your best course is to hold on.
