Joying in God’s Love

For the last week, I’ve been enjoying Hillsong’s classic song “All of My Days.”  The beautiful chorus simply says,

All of my days, I will sing of your greatness

All of my days, I will speak of your grace

All of my days, I will tell of your wondrous love

Your love in my life. Your love.

In those words, I hear the sound of a joyful and grateful heart that knows the awesomeness of God’s love. They remind us that every day of our lives, whether we feel it or not, we are surrounded by God’s love. His love is always with us, protecting and comforting us. Every day that love not only gives us purpose and hope, it gives us a sense of belonging and security and an assurance that we are not alone in this world. That security then frees us to be our quirky imperfect selves without fear of judgment or rejection; it gives us the courage to pursue our dreams and desires without fearing failure. His love allows us to breathe freely and deeply.

No matter where we might be today—lost, confused, sad, afraid, or whatever—let’s remember that we have a home in God. To experience his wondrous love, all we need to do is believe. That’s worth dancing over and shouting about!

Rom. 8:38 “… nothing can ever separate us from God’s love … neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow …”
